Our next meeting takes place February 4 at Colony Cottage Recreation Center, going green at 7 p.m.

Our guest speaker, Kelly Falls, has spent a lifetime right in the middle of motor racing history. Hired in 1990 by Greg Leffler as general manager of Hyperco, Kelly worked at the highest levels of open-wheel racing, supplying cutting-edge suspension components to top Champ Car teams before expanding into grassroots racing. When MW Industries acquired Hyperco in 1993, Kelly helped take the brand global, working with teams and legends across the sport of motor racing.

But titles and resumes only scratch the surface. Kelly was there at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, witnessed firsthand the birth of the CART-IRL split, and lived through IndyCar racing during its unforgettable heyday. And just to keep things interesting, he even strapped in and raced the Baja 1000.

Along the way, he's collected stories you won't find in record books – including a memorable clash with our own Hall of Fame member Alan Sheppard over "questionable" racing parts, and the time A.J. Foyt's crew managed to wreck their rental cars on the way to the Detroit race.

Kelly's goal isn't to lecture, it's to entertain. Expect candid stories, behind-the-scenes moments, plenty of laughs, and an energetic Q&A session.

If you love racing history, colorful characters, and stories that only come from someone who truly lived it, this is a meeting you won’t want to miss. Meetings are open only to club members, but Villages residents can join at the door. If you are interested, Click Here for more information.
